 β—The English emerged victorious when Lord Robert Clive signed the Allahabad Treaty in 1765, which gave the British profit rights over Bengal and Nawab of "Oudh," Shujaudaulah, and Shah Alam 2., Bihar and Orissa.

 

 β— The Battle of Plassey led to connection of British Supremacy( control over Bengal whereas the most decisive battle that led to the establishment of supremacy of the British in all over India was Battle of Buxar.

 

 β— Robert Clive was described by William Pitt as a "heaven-born general."

 

 β— Following the conclusion of the Second Treaty of Allahabad between Lord Clive and the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II, on August 12, 1765, Shah Alam II awarded the EIC the Diwani right over Bengal, Bihar, and Orissa.

 

 β— Allahabad fort was erected by Akbar between 1583- 84 and in 1797 Saadat Ali Khan handed the authority of the fort to the British.

 

 β— Western administration was deposited in Surat during the early period of the East India Company.

 

 β—Robert Clive named two Diwans following the Second Treaty of Allahabad with Shah Alam II: Raja Shitab Rai for Bihar and Muhammad Raza Khan for Bengal (Murshidabad).
