• Every three years, the GTF General Assembly convenes.
• It makes use of technical know-how, common strategies, cooperative policies, scientific modules, and other relevant programs.
• The Global Tiger Forum states that its purpose is to promote the benefits of tiger conservation and to offer leadership and a global strategy for ensuring the survival of tigers, their prey, and their habitat.
It is the only intergovernmental organization dedicated to tiger conservation globally, with membership from 14 tiger range nations.
• Under the catchphrase "T x 2," leaders of 13 nations that are home to tigers pledged to double the number of tigers in the wild during the 2010 St. Petersburg Tiger Summit.
• The World Bank's Global Tiger Initiative (GTI) program united international partners to advance the tiger agenda.
• The Global Tiger Initiative Council (GTIC), which includes the Global Tiger Forum as one of its limbs, is the result of the initiative's institutionalization over time as a distinct organization.
• GTF has successfully formed alliances with a number of like-minded domestic and international organizations, including the World Bank, Clemson University, USAID, WWF, WCT, WII, IIFM, IFAW, WTI, and WCS.
• Tx2 § A global pledge to double the number of wild tigers by 2022 is known as the TX2 target.
2006 is the base year.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has established the objective through the Global Tiger Initiative, Global Tiger Forum, and other vital forums.
