Published On:
•Launched on September 26, 2023, PSLV-C59 was a mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
•Primary Payload – EOS-06: The primary payload of this mission was an Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-06) designed to monitor the oceans and atmosphere.
•It aims to enhance the country's Earth observation capabilities by providing critical data for weather forecasting, oceanography and disaster management.
Line of Actual Control
•The Line of Actual Control (LAC) is an informal border dividing Indian and Chinese controlled areas in the disputed regions of Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
•It is not a mutually agreed border but a pragmatic control line that has developed after the 1962 Indian War.
•The lake straddles the territorial dispute between India and China. The points of contention include Ladakh (Aksai Chin) and parts of Arunachal Pradesh, and both countries have different perceptions of the location of the LAC.
Quantum technology
•Quantum technology applies principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, to execute tasks that cannot be done with the help of classical technologies.
•This possibility enables you to develop such modern systems as quantum computers, sensors, and systems of quantum communication.
•Quantum technology has the potential to revolutionize any field in the following applications: calculation with quantum computers, safe communication through quantum encryption, and precision measures using quantum sensors.
