NATO( North Atlantic Treaty Organization)

•NATO was founded in 1949 as an alliance of military strength for collective defense against aggression, mainly due to the concern coming from the Soviet Union that was acting quite aggressive during the Cold War.

• It has 31 member countries from the North American continent and Europe. These are countries like the United States of America, Canada, and many others in Europe. This military alliance celebrates popular values, and works toward the assurance and stabilization of the security of its members by military cooperation, common defense, and strategic planning.

•Although NATO was primarily founded to safeguard Europe, its mandate has expanded its activities beyond this purpose and into areas such as combating terrorism, cyber defense, operation in extreme environments, and peacekeeping around the globe, with the support of other global organizations, such as the UN.

Angkor Wat Temple

•It was first built in the early 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II as a Hindu tabernacle devoted to god Vishnu but latterly converted into a Buddhist tabernacle.

•The tabernacle is famous for its splendor and architectural perfection, representing a comprehensive complex with high bas-reliefs, broad belts, and a very spacious central sanctuary. Its design is an idealized version of Mount Meru, the middle of the Hindu macrocosm, which underlines the association between the tabernacle and the cosmic order.

•Angkor Wat represents Cambodia in terms of its public selfhood and identity: Its image is displayed on the country's flag, but it also remains a living place of deification that is visited annually by millions of excursionists due to its literal, religious, and artistic significance.
