Government amends structure of Niti Aayog

New ex-officio members
The government has amended the structure of Niti Aayog, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as an ex-officio member. He will join Home Minister Amit Shah, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this role.

The government notification has released a new list of special invitees, which includes prominent ministers from various fields:

Significance of the Amendment
